Kaudulla National Park

The Kaudulla National Park is the youngest of the national parks in Sri Lanka and was opened in 2002. Originally the area as one of 16 was used by King Mahahes, of the country from 275 to 301 AD. reigned.

You can find these in this park u.a .:

* 24 species of mammals (including elephant, leopard, wild boar, etc.)

* 25 species of reptiles

* 26 fish species

* 160 bird species

During the dry season in September it attracts wildlife propagated to the Kaudulla tank.

The vegetation is mainly determined by the evergreen forests.
